What does this mean for you?

The Argentium critical test regime – is designed to replicate the effects of environmental pollutants and everyday conditions that cause tarnish.

Argentium silver alloys are required to demonstrate superior tarnish resistance in all of these tests.

Why is there a growing demand for responsible silver?

There is an increasing awareness and demand for the preservation of our natural environment - to conserve energy and natural resources and to reduce waste and pollution.

Some practices in the silver industry use toxic chemicals and hazardous procedures for removing fire stain - a penetrating, dark colored oxide that forms when sterling silver is heated during manufacturing processes.

Such practices are undesirable in the workplace and the disposal of toxic waste products also raises environmental concerns. Over the last few years, there has been an increasing awareness about the anti-allergy benefits of nickel-free silver.

What makes Argentium silver responsible?

Argentium guarantees traceability of its raw silver. It is certified that Argentium is produced using only recycled silver.

Argentium’s excellent fire stain resistance makes hazardous processes associated with removing fire stain a thing of the past.

Argentium’s unique and superior properties reduce manufacturing time, labor and resources.

Blue Sunshine Polishing Cloth

Wondering how to care for your silver... Let's look at a few helpful tips for keeping your jewelry as beautiful today as it was when you first bought it.

Jewelry Care:

Jewelry made using Silver or Bronze will naturally patina over time.  These metals can be polished back to their original finish if desired, using a polishing cloth, or you can leave them to patina into a beautiful natural look.

To help your jewelry stay beautiful and bright, you should store your silver and bronze in an airtight bag (a zip-lock baggy works great), in a dark dry place.  We recommend that you do not use harsh commercial cleaners on your jewelry.

We also recommend that you do not sleep, swim or shower in your jewelry.  Perfumes, lotions and sunscreens should also be avoided to help your jewelry last.

We have found the best way to keep your jewelry stunning is to store it properly and use a polishing cloth to restore its original shine. We recommend Sunshine Polishing Cloths.

If however, you find that it needs a little more TLC, we recommend a professional jeweler, this way you ensure the quality of the clean and maintain the integrity of the piece.
